Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 with Slider camera, 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, up to 10GB RAM and 5G lunched. Xiaomi has today unveiled Mi MIX 3, its latest premium smartphone in the Mi MIX series, at an event held in Forbidden City, Beijing, CHINA. The Mi MIX 3 is Xiaomi's highest screen-to-body ratio phone yet and also the first smartphone from the manufacturer to adopt a sliding camera design. A 5G-ready variant of the Mi MIX 3 is also announced at the event and will be released in the first quarter of 2019.

The new MIX 3 is equipped with a 6.39" AMOLED FHD+ display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and operates on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 10. The Mi MIX 3 features a full-screen design and offers a screen-to-body ratio of 93.4%. In order to achieve the 93.4% screen-body ratio, the front camera is hidden, and adopted a magnetic slider design, which consist of neodymium permanent magnets, driven by magnetic force. The magnetic slider also functions as a 'slide to start', e.g. slide to answer call, slide to take selfies.

The Mi MIX 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and available in four variants, from 6GB/8GB+128GB to the massive 8GB/10GB+256GB (Special Palace Muesum Edition). The Mi MIX 3 is fueled by a 3200mAh battery with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4.0+ fast charging standard support.

Xiaomi's Mi MIX 3 sports a 12MP+12MP rear camera with Dual Pixel autofocus and 2x optical zoom. It's the first Xiaomi phone to offer 960fps slow-motion video capture and also capable of capturing 4K Ultra HD resolution videos at up to 60fps. The Mi MIX 3 is the first Mi device to be equipped with a front dual AI cameras (24MP + 2MP) and selfie-light.

The MIX 3 focus on largely on post photo processing, and managed to achieve impressive DXOMark score of as high as 103, which is the same score achieved by Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 and the HTC U12 Plus.

Pricing & Availability
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is priced at 3,299 yuan ($475 / ₹34,800) for the base 6GB+128GB variant, 3,599 yuan ($518 / ₹38,000) for the 8GB+128GB variant, 3,999 yuan ($575 / ₹42,200) for the 8GB+256GB variant. All three variants of the smartphone will be available for pre-order in China starting tonight and the first sale is set to be held at 10:00 AM on November 1.

The Mi MIX 3 Palace Museum Edition (10GB+256GB) is at 4,999 yuan ($720 / ₹52,750).
