Micromax launches Canvas Win W092 and Canvas Win W121, their first Windows Phone devices. Indian mobile handset manufacturer Micromax today launches two new mobile phones based on Microsoft's mobile phone platform Windows Phone 8.1. The Canvas Win W092 and Canvas Win W121 phones are the first Windows Phones (8.1) from an Indian manufacturer. Starting in July 2014, the Canvas Win W092 and Canvas Win W121 will be for ₹6,500 and ₹9,500 respectively. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, Chairman, Micromax said, "With our vision to democratize technology and belief in providing consumers with choice of platforms, we are pleased to introduce a new range of Windows-based phones. I am pleased that Micromax is the only Indian mobile phone brand to be present across the two most popular operating platforms in the world."

The Micromax Canvas Win W092 is a Dual SIM phone with 4.0" IPS WVGA display, an 5 MP rear camera (with LED flash­), a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera, and 8GB of built in storage with up to 32GB of expandable memory. It comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1.2 GHz Quad Core CPU, 1GB RAM and 1500 mAh battery.

The Micromax Canvas Win W121 is also a Dual SIM phone with 5.0" HD IPS display, an 8 MP camera (with LED flash), a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, and 8GB of built in storage with up to 32GB of expandable memory just like the Canvas Win W092. And just like the Canvas Win W092, the Canvas Win W121 is also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1.2 GHz Quad Core CPU, 1GB RAM and 2000 mAh battery. The Canvas Win W121 is equipped with proximity, gravity, and light sensors, an accelerometer, and comes with a leather finish back panel.
